SSB 1037 – Turning on a red light

COMMITTEE ACTION

SSB 1037 – Vehicles are currently allowed to make a right turn from the right lane on a red light, or a left turn from the left lane on a one-way street to the leftmost lane of traffic on another one-way street. This bill allows a right turn from another lane designated for right turns, or a left turn from another lane designated for left turns on a one-way street. The bill also strikes the requirement that vehicles turning left against a red light on a one-way street must turn into the leftmost lane.
