U.S. SENATOR CHUCK GRASSLEY IS BEING ASKED TO LEAD A REPUBLICAN “TRUTH SQUAD’ ON HEALTH REFORM BY AN IOWA LEGISLATOR WHO HAS HELPED MAKE IOWA NUMBER ONE IN CHILDREN’S HEALTH CARE.

STATE SENATOR JOE BOLKCOM SAYS IOWA NEEDS GRASSLEY, A KEY PLAYER IN NATIONAL HEALTH REFORM EFFORTS, TO OPPOSE DISTORTIONS AND POINT OUT THE BENEFITS OF REFORM.

“Crazy things are being said about health reform, things Senator Grassley knows darn well are false.

“Iowans need our Senator, Senator Chuck Grassley, to show national leadership by publicly rejecting the falsehoods spread by former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and other Republicans who care only about scoring political points.

“Rather than responding to shouts about made-up “death panels,” Senator Grassley can bring this debate back to the real world by talking instead about health care consumer reforms.

“These new consumer protections will stop insurance companies from doing things like dropping your coverage when you’re sick or driving your family into bankruptcy with out-of-pocket expenses and deductibles.”
