Branstad repeating “chicken-plucking jobs” mistakes of first years as governor

During Governor Branstad’s first reign as Iowa’s Governor, he was often criticized for bringing low-wage jobs to Iowa.

So far, the governor’s most high-profile jobs announcement was an event that combined Lt. Gov. Reynolds and Ronald McDonald.

At the time, Senator Rob Hogg asked if jobs at McDonalds would be counted as part of the 200,000 new jobs Governor Branstad promised to create during his comeback campaign. Hogg also pointed out the irony of  firing teachers while promoting jobs at McDonalds.

Here’s new evidence that the Branstad approach to job creation is seriously flawed: McDonald’s is killing the middle class.
