SF 2308 – High Quality Jobs Financial Assistance

FLOOR ACTION:

SF 2308 replaces the sunsetting Grow Iowa Values Fund (financial assistance program) by adding a loan-based assistance component to the High Quality Jobs Tax Program. SF 2308 does not include an appropriation or any other mechanism to fund the financial assistance program. The bill changes the mechanism for calculating the wage thresholds from county wage to a laborshed wage. In addition, the bill repeals the film tax credit program and makes changes to the targeted industries program. [3/6: 49-1, Zaun “no”]
