Ensuring safety for Corrections workers

State Senator Gene Fraise stopped to talk to Jerry Burt, deputy director of the Department of Corrections, when he paid a visit to the Statehouse.

At issue are staff shortages that could threaten public safety, as well as the safety of prisoners and correction officers. The legislation now goes to the Iowa House.
