SR 3 – Campaign ethics

FLOOR ACTION:

SR 3 is a resolution that governs the conduct of the members of the Senate for the 84th General Assembly and provides for the process for any person to file complaints against a member, lobbyist or client of a lobbyist. The resolution states the manner in which Senators deal with economic interests, divestiture of economic or investment opportunities, honoraria and employment while holding office.  Senators are banned from accepting employment from any PAC, 527, 501c (4) and 501c(6), as many of these entities have no reporting requirements, and constituents would not able to determine if senators were being unduly influenced.
