Help Iowa’s children by cutting taxes on working families

The Iowa Senate has voted unanimously to increase Iowa’s Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) to 13 percent in tax year 2012, 15 percent in tax year 2013, and 20 percent in tax year 2014 and years thereafter.

This could be one of the most important measures passed this year when it comes to improving the lives of Iowa’s children.  Almost 40 percent of all children live in famiiles that benefit when the EITC is increased.
