SF 482 – DHS Policy Bill

FLOOR ACTION:

SF 482 is the Department of Human Services’ policy bill. It makes changes to the Foster Home Insurance Fund; barbering license issues at the Unit for Sexually Violent Predators; Adoption Placement Investigations and Reports; Information Retention for Child in Need of Assistance cases; and makes Code updates to match recent legislative action concerning Certified Nurse Aides and Juvenile Shelter record checks; expands family planning services. A House amendment added sibling visitation provisions, suspension of Medicaid for short-term incarcerations, and a study on attorney representation in Child in Need of Assistance cases.
