FLOOR ACTION:

HF 322 establishes a task force consisting of patients, physicians and pharmacists to provide education and information to assess the impact of generic drugs for treatment of epileptic seizures on people with epilepsy. Educational materials are to be developed. The task force is to provide a report to the General Assembly by January 1, 2013. [4/4: 49-0 (Dandekar excused)]

HF 389 credits investigative costs recouped by the Medicaid Fraud Control Unit to the Medicaid Fraud Account. Investigative costs are defined as the reasonable value of an investigator’s, auditor’s or employee’s time. [4/5: 49-0 (Greiner excused)]

HF 390 directs the Iowa Department of Public Health to convene a group of stakeholders to design implementation strategies for recommendations made by the Alzheimer’s Disease Task Force that were submitted in January 2008. [4/5: 49-0 (Greiner excused)]

HF 467 is the Department of Public Health policy bill. It transfers all enforcement duties from the Department of Public Health to the Alcoholic Beverages Division. It makes updates to communicable and infectious diseases and poisonings. The bill includes AIDS and HIV, which were previously excluded. It also makes other updates to definitions of conditions and exposure. It provides for a pilot or demonstration program for pharmacies related to prescription verification duties. [4/5: 50-0]
