HF 2200 – Carrying of a gun in a vehicle on a public highway

FLOOR ACTION:

HF 2200, as amended by the Senate, would allow a person to carry a loaded magazine in a vehicle as long as it has been detached and kept separate from the weapon and the weapon is stored in a secure manner. Currently, the law says the weapon and all magazines must be unloaded during transport. By detaching the magazine, these weapons can be effectively unloaded. [3/8: 48-0]
