Helping vulnerable Iowans stay in their homes

There will be new help for older Iowans and those with disabilities to continue living independently thanks to legislation approved by the Iowa Senate. Senate File 527 funds a Rent Subsidy Program run by the Iowa Finance Authority. The program will benefit people with disabilities and older Iowans who qualify for Medicaid and would otherwise be placed in institutions.
