Senator Chris Brase of Muscatine

Chris Brase was elected to the Iowa Senate in 2012. He represents portions of Muscatine and Scott counties.

Senator Brase is vice-chair of the Natural Resources & Environment committee. He also serves on the Agriculture, Appropriations, Labor & Business Relations, Local Government and Transportation committees, as well as the chairperson of the Administration & Regulation Budget Subcommittee.

Chris is a native of Donahue and a graduate of North Scott High School. He earned paramedic’s certification at the University of Iowa and has worked as a firefighter and paramedic. His 24-year career with the Muscatine Fire Department has given him a passion for public service and helping others.

Chris is married with three children and three grandchildren.
