Fixing Medicaid mess must be top priority

Reaction by State Senator Liz Mathis (D) of Robins to news that Iowa Medicaid is in financial crisis: “Thanks to the Branstad-Reynolds team, and the haphazard way managed care was designed and implemented, Iowa’s taxpayers face millions in increased expenditures and the health and safety of one in six Iowans is at risk. Prospect Meadows earns state funding

The Enhance Iowa Board awarded a $ 1 million Community Attraction & Tourism grant to Prospect Meadows in Marion. This project includes the construction of a 16-field sports complex for baseball and softball, a Miracle Field for people with disabilities, walking trail, supervised play area, recreation lake, a two-acre flower garden, concession stands, restrooms and a storm shelter.
