SR 111 – Defer confirmation of appointments

SR 111 allows the Senate to confirm appointees made by an appointing authority other than the Governor after the April 15 deadline set in Code section 2.32 subsection 7 and through the end of session.

SR 112 – Defer confirmation of gubernatorial appointments

SR 112 allows the Senate to confirm appointees made by the Governor after the April 15 deadline set in Code section 2.32 subsection 7 and through the end of session.

SCR 102 – Session and joint rules suspension

SCR 102 allows the Legislature to adjourn from March 16, 2020, until 10 a.m. April 15, 2020, without having to gavel in and out every three days as is normally required under law.

The Legislative Council may call the Legislature back into session before April 15 or to extend adjournment beyond April 15.

Joint rules governing the Legislature are suspended during this temporary adjournment. When the Legislature returns to session, bills, appointment and other business resume from the point in the process at which they were left, as though no time had passed.
