Iowans have another reason to be thankful that President Biden, Rep. Axne, and the Democratic Party passed the American Rescue Plan. Because of their leadership, Iowa is moving ahead with a multi-million dollar effort to increase affordable housing across Iowa. This is great news for hard-working Iowans and their families as we work to build back better.
Bipartisan legislation (SF 2369) establishing “land banks” has passed the Senate Local Government Committee. Land banks are public-private partnerships to rehabilitate rundown, vacant and tax-delinquent properties for productive use.
