Thanks to President Biden and Congresswoman Cindy Axne, at least $5 billion will arrive in Iowa over the next five years to help rebuild crumbling infrastructure. Iowa will get even more help in areas where we need it most, specifically with bridges, rural broadband and water treatment systems.

We need an economy that works for hard-working Iowans, not the top 1%. Democrats will continue to fight and show up for workers and retirees who have earned a bigger paycheck and secure retirement. Senate Democrats are reviewing Plan 1 to ensure it meets all the legal and constitutional requirements for redistricting. Iowans deserve a fair redistricting process, without partisan interference. We encourage Iowans to examine Plan 1 and to make their voices are heard at three public hearings next week.
